This website is the mythology and history of a world I have created. If you do not like Fantasy or Magic, GET OUT
Dorivar is the creator of everything you can think of. He did it all. The trees, the sea, the very ground you stand on. Of coarse it was not easy, it took nearly five million years. Five million years of looking out into the nothingness that the universe was all thoes years ago and creating matter out of the raw power Dorivar wields. He would stare into the empty space until there was a very large land mass (five hundred times the size of earth's sun to be exact). The only thing as far as the eye could see was dirt. But it was much to dark, beside Dorivar's natural light he sends out, so Dorivar stared into the sky for a long time until the sun came into existance. The light was enough for Dorivar to continue his work, yet he still stared at the sky. He still needed more from the sky. The clouds. When they appeared they where rain clouds and it rained for a thousand years. Dorivar watched it rain for a while but soon realized that it would soon take over the globe, so he created land and with it great forests and plains and mountains. When it was done raining Dorivar created life: lions and tigers and bears. Then he made the rivers and fish. When Dorivar was done with all that he went to tha tallest mountaintop in the world and looked upon his work. Yet something was missing. Although he had created life, there was no one to keep him company. So Dorivar created another god to keep himself company. Lilith was her name, the goddess of life and daughter of Dorivar. The years whent by and Dorivar did not create anything for two thousand years. Lilith saw this and wanted to show her father that she was competent, so she created humanity. Dorivar was estatic when he saw what his daughter had done, but he overlooked one thing: since Lilith was not proficient in creating material, there were flaws. While they may not have been inside every human the flaw was there. But that is another story. When Dorivar saw what Lilith had done he was so happy he made humanity unrivaled among his creations. He then finished his final touches to the world. He created the animals of the ocean and called the world he had made Quetholodor.
When Dorivar created the world the highest mountain was Mt. Torondir on the mainland. But as the years faded away Dorivar's mind wandered and he soon found that what he wanted more company. So he made a son. Gomurond was his name, known to most as "the maddened one" He was utterly insane. Well, more insane than the other gods. Soon after his creation, Gomurond saw the connection between Lilith and Dorivar. Gomurond craved the attention his sister had, so he created his own race far superior than Lilith's: the giants. Upon seeing this Dorivar was proud of his son, but not as much as he was when Lilith created humanity. Gomurond was content with this. However, Lilith was the goddess of life and she was always creating more and more thingsfor Dorivar to praise. This sent Gomurond off the edge. He made the giants even bigger (before then then they were only the size of a tall tree), the tallest one being taller than Mt. Torondir. Gomurond named him Wald and sent him to destroy anything that Lilith created. This angered Dorivar greatly. When Dorivar confronted Gomurond on his recent atrocities, Gomurond declined that it was his fault. Dorivar knew Gomurond was lying so he created the god of mischief, Sool. Dorivar sent Sool to get Gomurond to admit that he had made the giants bigger. Sool came back to Dorivar with the evidence in less than a week. Sool had a worm recording of Gomurond confessing. Dorivar was suspicious at how Sool had gotten this evidince, but all Sool said was, "The more you don't know, the better."
Dorivar decided not to push. Soon after the evidence had been given, Gomurond was put under custody by Fortal, the god of safety. Wald was still causing havoc much to Dorivar's dismay, so he decided the best course of action was to put all the giant into slumber underground and turn Wald into stone. Over the years Wald lost the features he once had and was forgotten, only known as the great mountain of Sidurade.
While the gods are immortal, but they are rgarded as gods, not immortals. The immortals used to be mortals. They all angered the gods somehow, who made them immortal as punishment. The whole point about this punishment was to make the mortals immortal, which makes it so they never perish. Then they would get exiled from other mortals because immortals are bad luck. They would then go looking for another immortal to befriend. After a few centuries, There were so many immortals that the world suffered from over population. Sevorath (an immortal) and his friend Horatio whent on a journey that messed some stuff up (The Giants), making it so immortals could no longer be created.
The giants have been sleeping for since Dorivar made them fall asleep, but while on their escapades, Sevorath and Horatio accidentally woke them up, which almost caused the extintion of all races. After one hundred years, however the gods took pity on the mortals and got rid of all the giants. no one knows where they are to this day.
